Sak Abrasives Limited is a leading manufacturer of high performance bonded abrasive products. Since inception in 1997 as part of the Sak group of companies, we have earned our reputation for quality and innovation in grinding wheel technology, always delivered at competitive prices. Our journey began with depressed centre and cutoff wheels, followed by snagging wheels in collaboration with a Swiss company in 2002.
During the collaboration our efficient production processes were complemented by knowledge of formulation and wheel design, and their subsequent adaptation to the Indian market. Since then there has been no looking back as we have grown our product line with frequent additions to our offering. Backed by a philosophy of rapid but sustainable change in response to the evolving needs of our customers we developed snagging wheels (2002), standard vitrified wheels (2003), engineered vitrified wheels (2004), crankshaft & roll grinding (2005), rice polishing wheels (2006) and honeycomb structure wheels (2008). This has been accompanied by continual investment in the upgradation and modernization of our plant at Gummidipoondi in the outskirts of Chennai, India paving the road to the future.
Key additions to our technical team, an environment of dedication and empowering our employees culminated in the development of our range of bonded abrasive products: TOPLINE. This brand has come to stand for quality and performance, safety, timely delivery of products, prompt service and reduced grinding costs; all of which have permeated every moment of our working day. We received our ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2005.
With an eye to the future we are looking to rapidly expand our presence in both our home market, India and abroad. Our International Business Division (IBD), based out of our offices in Chennai is actively setting up an international dealer network focusing on the USA, Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Australia.
